Magna5 Wins 3-Year Project to Provide Communication Services to King County Facilities

Magna5, a NewSpring Holdings company offering a complete suite of custom telecommunications solutions, has completed the porting of 14,000 telephone numbers for King County, the state’s fast-growing region, as part of a large, three-year contract for extensive SIP Trunking services.

“King County representatives want to be able to predict costs from month to month”

The project calls for Magna5 to provide local, long-distance and toll-free services to King County-owned facilities through July 1, 2018. X5’s solution allows for up to 2,000 concurrent call sessions and includes private line connectivity provided to the County over two fully redundant paths. This allows seamless, uninterrupted service in the event of high network capacity or single circuit failure.

Magna5 has been providing long-distance and toll-free services to Washington’s King County since 2008. With more than 2 million residents, King County is the most populous county in Washington State and the 13th most populous county in the United States.

“King County is upgrading its entire communications platform and we are proud to be providing a majority of those services,” said Greg Forrest, Magna5 CEO. “We’ve partnered with the County for many years. Their entrusting us with this high-priority partnership shows they are confident in our real-time responsiveness and our enhanced offering of innovative solutions.”

Forrest said Magna5 also is working closely with County representatives to develop a billing model that best suits its business needs, allowing the county to reap the full benefits of these new services.

“King County representatives want to be able to predict costs from month to month,” he said. “To fulfill this goal, we’ve built a customized billing model that bundles the County’s cost per concurrent user with long-distance into one monthly flat rate.”
